The Embsay Splash runs on Thursday evenings in June and July (check the calendar for the exact dates). There will be coaching to improve your sailing skills and a gentle introduction to racing for newcomers. This is a fantastic way to gain experience and get to know some of the other members of the club. The sessions culminate in an evening of fun, friendly racing for all levels of skill.
The Youngster and family days have been added to the calendar to give the opportunity of, well, youngsters and family groups to discover the pleasures of sailing. Our regular sailors will be on hand to help with rigging boats, helming or to take you out in the craft. The patrol boat will also be out to provide on-the-water tuition and direct the fun and games. The sessions are aimed at getting peole afloat and building confidence on the water. Read what one family thought of these events here.
