The Final Friendly Friday of the year... September 2022
We've had a great series of Friendly Friday events. The last of the year saw over 40 people in attendance to enjoy social sailing until sunset and then a shared supper in the Clubhouse afterwards.
September Family Day
Following the Yorkshire Water Trophy Race in the morning, members met for picnics and social sailing followed by the annual playing of Aquidditch - that rarest of sports. A good time was had by all!
Ullswater Sailaway Weekend June 2022
More than 20 people took part in a weekend of sailing and socilaising near Pooley Bridge, Ullswater. The high winds and rain made both sailing and camping quite challenging but all enjoyed the trip.

The club open its doors to visitors. Here our Vision is in use for giving 'taster' experiences.
Despite a sometimes cool and certainly blustery day, 30 people were taken out and all seemed to have good fun! For many this was their very first experience in a dinghy.
April brought along our first Paddlers' Day
With a few games on the water ('Water Dragons' proving popular) a Treasure Hunt Quiz around the buoys and plenty of cakes and tea it was great to see so many of our Members with their paddle boards, sit on canoes, kayaks, Canadians and the odd windsurfer and dinghy joiing in. This was also a time to launch a Whatsapp group for paddlers.

The September Work Party
was well supported by members who lent a hand with giving the Clubhouse a good cleaning as well as dealing with various repair work and sorting out of those odd jobs! A couple of buoys which had recently gone off on their own adventures were relocated ready for racing>
Friendly Fridays
Running throughout Spring and Summer, Members are welcome to join in a relaxed social atmosphere and usually share a supper afterwards.
The Boathouse is opened August 2021.
Despite all that has been thrown at our plans (floods, Covid etc) we finally completed and opend the new boathouse. Shown here is Commodore Steve Hiley with Barrie Jones who was the mastermind behind the operation.
We were delighted to welcome past members of the cllub back to Embsay as part of our celebrations. Tea, cake and a lot of reminiscences were much enjoyed by all concerned.
We are indebted to the work of previous members in making the club what it is. We are determined to do our bit to prepare the club for its next 50 years!
Ullswater 2019
The annual sailaway weekend was as successful as ever, with twenty-odd folk enjoying the sunshine and winds of Ullswater. Camping by the shore there was plenty of time for recreation and eating between sailing.
